I started this website after seeing so many amazing photographers doing this. Most of them are doing self portraits, but I decided that I wanted to do the best of the best pictures. I hope that this gallery will inspire you to pick up your camera daily to find the loves of your life.
I thought it only appropriate for me to start with my love...my daughter.

This photo was taken at a music class that Amelia attends. I loved the interaction of the teacher and Thomas the Train here.
Day 28, October 25, 2007
Orange Moon
This is what our moon looked like tonight. This effect was caused by the amount of smoke in the air this evening. For me, this was a very hard photo to capture because it wasn't your typical moon. I had to really play with the exposure to actually get a decent photo.
Day 27, October 24, 2007
Air Support
Well, today was a particularly good day here in SoCal because finally the winds died down enough for us to have some air support in fighting these fires.
I went to the reservoir where they were picking up water to take some (117 to be exact) photos of the helicopters. I liked this photo because if you zoom in far enough you can actually make out the faces of the pilots.
These guys were flying probably about 20 feet over the homes that I was standing around. My daughter who is 2.5 thought this was a hoot. She had to call everyone to tell them about the helicopters and say that she waved and yelled, "Hooray, Firefighters!"
More to come, but hopefully not as dramatic as some of the others you have seen.

A Fiery Night
Well, you will probably all get sick of my fire photos, but it is so fascinating to shoot. Unfortunately, it is not under the greatest of circumstances.
This photo was taken at 9:00 PM without a tripod. I had ventured out around 4:00 PM and didn't think taking it with me so I "mounted" this on a "wallpod".
More to come.

Fire in the Sky
Well, I have been really busy off traveling about, but the best picture that I have come up with in recent days has been close to home.
This photo was taken this afternoon around 4:30 PM during the Santiago Fire in Orange County. I have lots of photos of the fires, but I loved this photo because it is almost surreal which is sort of how life feels right now with fires burning all around us.
It has been a hard day here. Friends have had to be evacuated from homes, others have lost their homes and the fire and police departments are maxed out. Our prayers go out to those who protect us from such horrible things like arson.
Day 24, September 20, 2007
A Sip of Water
This Dragonfly was oh so kind to sit still and drink some water as I got off several shots of him. Let me know your comment.
Well, I have been on the road for a while and am glad to be home and posting pictures again. I will be posting pictures for the next week of the vacation that I took in Dallas and then I am off to Portland for two weeks. We will be taking the coast so I am hoping to have some amazing photos of that trip as well.
Day 44, September 6, 2007
Hot Summer Days
I have finally recovered from my 1/2 Marathon so I hope that I can get back to taking photos again.
This photo was taken a week or so ago at Legoland. I shot it through two water pops while Philip was playing. Let me know your honest feedback.
Day 43, September 3, 2007
Disneyland 1/2 Marathon
Today, we ran in the Disneyland Half Marathon. It was hot, hot, hot, but I was able to finish the race. This is me in front of the Castle. You can tell how hot it is because this is only Mile 2.5 and I already look as if I am going to die.
Day 42, September 1, 2007
The Father Daughter Dance
Today, we went to the wedding of Kelly and Ron. Although I wasn't the "photographer," I couldn't resist taking some photos. I snapped this one of the bride with her dad. I thought it was priceless.

Peeking Moon
